Santee Irish Rose
"Guinness" is our primary broodmare and was my first junior pony. She is out of Little Bay Mare and by the great Tough Plaudit. Guinness has had several good colts for us, including LP Smooth Skip N Irish, who is shown below. This spring, Guinness will have a foal by Tributes Gold Brick, a beautiful stallion who has recently been purchased and will be going to Germany this summer. We're hoping for a filly! :)
Smokey Hollow Dot Com
"Dottie" is our up and coming broodmare. She was shown extensively by Patty in the JPFC classes and this last summer was shown in the 13-18 classes by Serena Mense. This spring she will be bred to LP Smooth Skip N Irish. Dottie is a wonderful performance pony and will be sure to have beautiful babies as well.
Straw Mickey
"Mickey" is the old man of our herd. He's the first POA I showed on the circuit , starting when i was 12. He taught me how to do all the hard things, like stay on when spinning for the Texas Rollback and not pop him in the mouth over jumps. He's now in retirement and loving it. He's the perpetual babysitter and spends the warm sunny days grazing with his best friend, Guinness.
JE Zips Chocolate Cookie
"Jess" is a coming two year old whom we bought as a weanling from Julie Erickson of Decorah, IA. She will be our third broodmare, once she is old enough, but for now, she will be started under saddle and shown extensively this year. Last year she did well, always placing in the top of her halter classes and doing her breeding proud.
Full Color Kat
"Tempe" is our three year old mare whom I have started under saddle and shown successfully last year. She ended up 6th in the nation in In-Hand Trail as a two year old. Tempe is also for sale and stands at 51 1/2". She will be perfect for that smaller rider. She has very nice gaits and a stop built for reining. Willinging in everything she does, Tempe will make a great mount as well as a wonderful broodmare when that time comes. And her hair is all her own!!!!
LP Smooth Skip N Irish
"Stilts" is the resident stallion on our place, though we're not sure if he will stay that way. He is two year old whom I (Lisa) will be riding this year. We will also be breeding him to Dottie for a 2011 foal and possibly freezing some sperm for future use. He is currently for sale and stands at 53" and will top out very close to 56". Stilts has lovely flat knees and is very slow-legged.
